Close Up:

Hi There! My name is Amanda Simmons!

I am just over the moon happy that you are here. *Insert GIF of Michael Scott and Erin Kemper popping bottles of Champagne in his office.* Cheers to becoming fast friends!

A little bit about me, I’m a Nashville Native that went from a 10 Year cushy corporate gig to jumping into the deep end of entrepreneurship. A jump I couldn’t have done without my late husband, Joshua. My decade long career in Commercial Architecture and Design provided amazing opportunities to work with top tier clients like Sony ATV, Warner Brother Music, Smile Direct Club and Houzz! I learned SO much about project management and client experience where listening to needs was vital in designing solutions tailored to them. All attributes that directly transfer to my Residential Real Estate business. While, I may not be physically drawing solutions, I’m still asking intentional questions and negotiating those solutions on behalf of my clients! You may be wondering, “Amanda, why did you decide to change careers?” :) A great question with a simple answer. I wanted two things, autonomy and a deeper connection with the people I was serving. I’ve always loved Real Estate and I even got to work hand in hand with Commercial Brokers in the design setting. But, my heart was set on helping friends and families alike achieve homeownership status. With the support of my family, dear friends, my incredible Broker and mentor, I’ve been blessed to serve our Middle TN community for the last 5 years getting to help those wanting to sell or purchase their new home. No day is ever the same and I love every minute of it! I’ve even gotten to use some of my design powers to help clients LOVE WHERE THEY LIVE!! How cool is that?!

On a personal note: You will likely find me chasing my nieces and nephews, getting after some glorious gym gains, and/ or shoveling down all the sushi. :) PS: Mori Mori is the best place in town!

Why:

Living the Dream
— Joshua Simmons

They say that Your Why can be summed up in one sentence and if you dig deeper, in one word.  Not the most reassuring to someone who has been staring at a blank page for days, erasing words as quickly as I type them out. :)  With the unexpected loss of my husband and widowed at 33, “My Why” has changed in drastic ways I never would have foreseen a year and half ago.  So, as much as I wish I could condense why I do what I do in a clever power-suited up sentence, I am going to scoot over, make room on the couch for you, grab some bubbles and pull back the curtain on my three-fold answer revealing the anchors that sustain My Why.

The first and most important anchor is God.  My business revolves around bringing glory to the Creator of the Universe and steward the gifts He has given me to serve and love others.  I want to be a mirror reflecting the characteristics and values Jesus displayed for us.  Those of love, joy, light and encouragement to name a few.  I believe God has called me to this work because I’m uniquely qualified to seek out creative solutions, provide perspective and to navigate conversations no matter how difficult the circumstance.  While love is at the center of my business, it is operated with integrity, kindness, honesty, and generosity as its Core Values.  These are non-negotiables for me!

The second anchor is my late husband, Joshua Simmons, who left this world unexpectedly in August of 2021.  For those of you who may not have had the pleasure of meeting my beloved ginger, his reverence and respect for Eddie Van Halen was legend.  Though he had the guitar chops to prove it.  Weightlifting, Monster energy drinks, and sarcastic comments were just a few things he loved in this world. :)  But playing guitar was at the top of this list, no question.  You see, guitar wasn’t just a passion for Joshua, it was as necessary as breathing air.  “Our Guy” may not have known it, but he was my example of what it looks like to take a God given gift and achieve greatness with it.  As I reflect, I find it to be so fitting that his response to “Hey Josh, how’s it going?” was always “Living the Dream!”  And there it is.  Three simple words that beautifully define this second anchor.  There is nothing I want more than to make him proud, to honor his legacy, and to be an example of “Living the Dream.”

The third anchor is YOU!  After experiencing the loss of my husband, the word security has a completely different meaning.  There is so much more urgency and weight attached to it now.  Which lent a new perspective on just how important homeownership is.  Your home is SO much more than the four walls that provide basic shelter.  It provides opportunities for invaluable memories to be created between your family and friends.  It's a safe haven when the unexpected hits.  AND it’s an opportunity to achieve financial freedom and generational wealth.  I want all of this SO badly for you!  I want you safe and secure and loving where you live!  The good news is, is that wherever you are in the process, “Living the Dream” can be achieved!  All you need to do is bring your grit and determination.  I’ll grab my 5 years of real estate experience and my 10 years of project management experience (in the commercial architecture space), and we will be off to the races!

Now that we’ve peeled back the layers and gotten to the heart posture behind my business, I want to raise my glass and say:

Cheers to helping you realize, achieve, and LIVE YOUR DREAM through the security of homeownership!  Let’s get to work!

Love,

-A
